Naan

Homemade naan, perfect addition to indian dishes or to use for wraps.



Ingredients

Dough

  • Water (lukewarm) (5 dl)
  • Dry yeast (1,5 tsp)
  • Oil (1 Tbsp)
  • Natural yogurt (Turkish perhaps) (0,5 dl)
  • Sugar/honey (2 tsp)
  • Garlic powder (1 tsp)
  • Salt (2 tsp)
  • Flour (ca 5 dl(I don't know))

Instructions

  1. Mix the water with the dry yeast.
  2. Add in the other ingredients with flour last.
  3. Add in flower until the dough is workable but not too dry.
  4. Knead it until soft and leave to rise (either in fridge for 1-2 hours or in room temperature for ca 30 min)
  5. Fry in butter or oil on medium temperature, flipping over when first side is done.
  6. Continue frying them one by one, covering the finished ones with a towel to keep them a bit warm.
  7. Try not to eat them all while frying them! It is a real risk... a deliscous one.
